Copper Frames For You

Image may contain: text and indoor
Within my stampin' group- The Pretty Pals under
our fearless leader Mary Fish- we have a
weekly challenge on Facebook.
This week we have a photo for inspiration.
Just look at all the inspiration- I see white, copper
and even some Wisteria Wonder or Smoky Slate
(however, I see purple in everything!)
I love the shapes and the textures plus the bling in
this inspirational photo.

I decided to let the white, copper and shapes
inspire me for this card.  I even include some texture with my
Softly Falling emboss folder. I ran a piece of Whisper White through
one direction and then turned and ran again.
Yes, you can run it more than once for a full effect.
I then layered two sizes of copper foil frame I cut
using the Layering Squares framelits dies.
I had two extra copper leaves on my desk from class last week
so they were a perfect addition.
I finished the card off by heat embossing the sentiment
from Colorful Seasons in copper emboss powder.
I hope your are inspired to create this week and
thanks for stopping by.

TTTC016 Copper Leaf

Playing the top row across for Metallic , Glow, Autumn Colors.
The metallic is the copper leaf laid over the rock and roll
leaf-both cut from the Seasonal Layers thinlits dies.
For the glow, I stamped the leaf on Very Vanilla in Pumpkin
Pie and rocked it in Cajun Craze before laying the copper one on top.
I ran some clear wink of stella over it for some shine, too.
I think it is glowing a bit!
I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig on the stitched shapes.
I ran the background Tangerine Tango with the Brick Wall emboss folder then
layered on a piece of Crushed Curry before placing on the Fresh Fig base.
I finished it off with some copper trim and a bow I had already laying on my desk.
I hope you can play along at
today and thanks for stopping by!

FMS306 Life and Leaves

I had some left over pieces from my card classes this week so
put them to good use for the sketch challenge.
I used a Very Vanilla base and layered a piece of Tangerine Tango
embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D emboss folder.
The lovely Painted Autumn DSP strips were layered on the background-
don't you love the color mix in that paper?
I stamped on a Very Vanilla stitched square in Cajun Craze.
For the small leaf, I stamped in Pumpkin Pie and then rocked
the leaf in Cajun Craze.  Love the effect. Quick card but full of colors!
Hope you can play along with the great sketch challenge this week over at

GDP105 Hello Friend

I wanted to go simple for this color challenge.
I cut a piece of Whisper White for my background. and stamped the D size
block inked in Lemon Lime Twist right onto the paper.
I then stamped on white my leaves. The big one was stamped
in Peekaboo Peach and rocked in Tangerine Tango.
I stamped the next smallest in Peach and the smallest
in Tango. I "tied" them together by placing a piece of copper trim for a bow.
I stamped the sentiment from Wood Words in Tango underneath.
This was layered onto a Tangerine Tango base making for a clean and simple card.

Hope you can play along with the color challenge this week
over at

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely weekend!

Fall Inspired Boxes for Card Classes

These are sweet boxes for my guest to carry their cards home
from card classes this week.
I used some retired card stock and designer series paper from last fall.
I also used some retired gold stitched ribbon.
These are from
She designed these boxes to hold emboss folders or some dies.
I used a piece of 8 1/4" x 11" piece of card stock
scored on long side at 5 1/4" and 7"
and score on short side at 1 3/4" and 6 1/2".  Cut the flaps and
it is easy to assemble!

Hope you enjoy your Thursday!
Thanks for stopping by!

FabFri121 Thank You Deer!

I have designed from the sketch a thank you card
for a special (male) friend.
This is my first card with the Merry Patterns set
which you can earn for free until the end of October
with a 300.00 order.
I started with the lovely Christmas Around the World DSP--love this plaid!
I saw gold in it so used gold emboss powder for my Merry Patterns deer.
I heat embossed the deer and snipped him out.
Not a great fussy cut job but works.
I added him onto a white circle and then a gold foil scallop circle.
I looked through lots of thank you stamps and settles on this one
and the matching punch.  This thank you
sentiment is from Thoughtful Banners with a matching banner
stamp to the punch.  The punch is the Duet Banner punch.
All this was layered on a Basic Black base and I love how it turned out!

Hope you can play along this week with the sketch challenge over at

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed Wednesday!

TTTC015 Thankful Sunflowers II

I went with the middle row across-Floral, Yellow, Punch.
Floral and Yellow sunflowers (actually two yellows) and leaf punch.

I did stamp the sunflowers and leaves on a piece
of Very Vanilla and attached to a piece of Garden Green and then
another piece of Very Vanilla for the base.
Actually, a piece of thick Very Vanilla which is more sturdy.
The sunflowers are in Daffodil Delight then Crushed Curry on top.
I stamped the centers with Soft Suede and the the leaves with Garden Green.
I stamped the leaves punched out in Garden Green and Soft Suede on Very Vanilla.
I added them behind my sentiment and burlap ribbon.

PP362 A Grateful Door

Harvest Time means decor!  I love the decorate my house for fall
because I collect PUMPKINS!  I actually have more than I can count.
I look for unusual ones esp colors and textures.
I pull it all out Labor Day weekend and it is my fav season!

I love this last card for my classes this week because it
creates a lovely decor scene.  The set is called At Home With You.
I stamped the sign, the lantern and the florals with pumpkins
in Memento Tuxedo Black
on Whisper White and they were cut with matching dies.
The lantern and florals were colored with markers- Old Olive,
Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede Sahara Sand.
The sign's sentiment is in Pumpkin Pie.
I stamped the door plus door hanger in black on Soft Suede.
I cut a small piece of Crush Curry togo behind the door for "lights".
I layered all this on a piece of Sahara Sand embossed with the
Pinewood Planks emboss folder and then layered on a piece
of Basic Black for the base.

Baby Wipe Technique Leaves

Yes, the baby wipe technique!  This is my fourth card for class.
I used a baby wipe to drop
three colors of re inker on to make a stamp pad for my leaves.
I used the leaves from Colorful Seasons stamp set ans the matching dies
for my copper foil ones.
I dropped Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango and stamped several leaves.
I added some paint splatter with the stamp from Timeless Textures.
The sentiment from Colorful Seasons works great in Fresh Fig.
Since I added the cooper leaves I decided to add the copper trim to
finish it off.
The white background was layered on Crushed Curry and then a Fresh fig base.
Happy Fall and Happy Sunday!

Pick A Bunch Of Pumpkins

Just love this card with the pumpkins and the DSP.
Love the Pick a Pumpkin bundle.
I like the Brick Wall emboss folder but several others would also look awesome.
I stamped in three orange shades. Pumpkin Pie on the tall one and the littlest.
Tangerine Tango on the short one on right and Cajun Craze on the
textured one.
I stamped in Lemon Lime Twist for the leaf
plus one cut with the same color card stock.
All these are cut with the matching dies called Pattern Pumpkins.
I layered them on a piece of Very Vanilla Stitched Shapes Square.
I used the Tangerine Tango for the background with the
Brick Wall emboss folder plus some Painted Autumn DSP and
natural trim in gold to finish it off.
I really liked it without a sentiment but this card is for class so
I can offer some for those who want one on the front
or to stamp inside.

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Thankful Sunflowers

I cased this card from Jenny Hall at
I loved the layout and the leaves behind.
This is my second card for classes next week.
I used the Layering Square dies for the Soft Suede scallop and the
Very Vanilla square.
I stamped Daffodil Delight and Curry curry with Soft Suede for the flowers.
I added some leaves in Old Olive and stamped the sentiment from the same set
called Painted Harvest in Suede.
I added some Burlap ribbon on the thick Very Vanilla base
before layering the squares.  I stamped off once with the solid
leaf in the set and then full on with the same color Old Olive
for the detailed leaf.  I used the matching leaf punch.
Finished it off with some gold sequin.
Might offer some of the mini gold sequin in class.
Hope you enjoy your day and have a lovely weekend!

Wonderful Wood Words

I used Crumb Cake card stock for the background.
I "stamped" with my emboss folder.
How do you say?
I inked up my Hexagons 3D Dynamic textured impressions folder on
the front or top tab with Night of Navy. I laid my card stock
on top and rubbed it transferring the ink on the card stock.
I layered that onto a piece of Night of Navy and then a
thick Whisper White base.
I then stamped the floral image from Wood Words set
on a Stitched Shapes die in a Whisper white circle along with the sentiment
in Night of Navy.  I also stamped a rooster in same color and cut with the matching dies.
Finished it off with a sweet Night of Navy gingham ribbon bow.

This will be my first card for card classes next week and love
how it turned out.

Friendly Tulips

I designed this card for card class this month but then decided it was
a little spring like. I stamped the tulips from Tranquil Tulips
first in Powder Pink and then Berry Burst on top.
The leaves are in lemon Lime Twist. Love the sentiment from
the Beautiful Bouquet set since the Tulips have not sentiments
in the set. I added some Powder Pink DSP on one side and Berry Burst
scallops cut from the Seasonal Layers dies on the other side.
I finished it off with a lovely gingham Smoky Slate ribbon to
comment the Smoky Slate base all was layered onto.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a blessed Wednesday!

TTTC014 Love You & Coffee Mini Treat Bag

For this week's challenge I choose the
middle row down. I used the mini treat bag die
with Painted Autumn DSP.
I used the glitter enamel dots  and linen thread for embellishments
and the lovely heart sentiment from the Merry Cafe set.
I stamped the heart in Early Espresso on Tangerine Tango
and hand snipped since none of my many heart dies/punches matched it.
I stamped the cup in Espresso on Very Vanilla and cut it with the dies.
Also cut the lid in Espresso and the paper sleeve in Soft suede with these
matching dies.  I did stamp in Tangerine Tango
on the the cup before layering the items on it.
More of the Painted Autumn DSP for a banner and a Tangerine
Tango circle on the background.
Should make a cute bag to hold a note and a coffee gift card!

Hope you can play along at this week.

Christmas Pines Wreath

This is my last card for Christmas card classes that was suppose to be this week
but rescheduled due to Irma not playing nice here in Florida!
I wanted to do a wreath with this Christmas Pines set and matching dies.
I used the large swirl from the Swirly Scribbles thinlits dies
cut in Soft Suede card stock for the wreath.
I layered some Old Olive pines branches and Real Red berry stems on before
stamping the pine cones in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla and cutting them
with dies to add. The 1/8" solid Real Red ribbon is new in the holiday catty this year.
It is very thin so a little hard to make bows.
I used two sentiments from the Christmas Pines set. A simple Real Red strip
underneath the background piece layered on the Old Olive base to finish off.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a lovely Monday!

Peace On Earth With Carols Of Christmas

I cased this from several cards I have seen
with this great bundle called Carols of Christmas and matching dies.
Mostly was inspired by Holly Stene at

I stamped the Peace On Earth sentiment in Emerald Envy
on a large Whisper White circle. I cut the piece of
Night of Navy on the bottom half with a
die from Swirly Scribbles thinlits dies then layered it on Whisper White
so the bottom looks like a snow hill.
I used the stars die cut from Card Front
Builder thinlits dies that coordinate with this set to cut the top.
I cut the trees with those same dies and added some
Dazzling Diamonds glitter to them to look like snow.
The last thing it needed was the sweet deer stamped in Chocolate Chip
and cut out and sitting right on the snowy hill!
All was layered onto a Night of Navy base to finish it off.

As the fourth card for my September Christmas card class,
I think it will be a favorite one.
Hope you have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Merry Monday 255 A Metallic Joy To The World

This is my third card for September Christmas card class.
I cut a piece of the new champagne foil paper and then embossed it with
new Winter Wonder emboss the snowflake!
I placed a couple pieces of a new DSP behind.
The New Year of Cheer specialty DSP is so pretty and metallic.
A mix of metals- champagne, cooper, gold and silver.
I used the 1/8"silver ribbon around the layers and then
stamped the sentiment from a retired set I really liked called
Tin of Tags.  It was heat embossed with gold emboss powder.
I cut the sentiment with a Stitched Shapes and popped it
on the foil.
All was layered on a piece of thick Whisper White
as a base.
Happy with the mixed of metals which can be used anytime of year!

Have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Night In Bethlehem

This is my second card for September Christmas card class.
I stared at the many colors trying to decided which to use for this
awesome bundle. I finally decided to stamp Mary and Joseph with the
donkey in Tranquil Tide to see what it looked like.
I loved it and then stamped the shepherd and cut them out with the matching dies.
I also cut a silver foil star out with the dies to layer in the sky.
I stamped the city background on Very Vanilla in Smoky Slate along
with the stars background.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the set in Cherry Cobbler
before adding the die cuts on.
I love the color combo of Cherry and Tide.
I layered the vanilla on a piece of Cherry Cobbler and then a Tranquil Tide base.

Hope you have a wonderful and blessed day...thanks for stopping by!

Beachy Christmas

I had not planned on getting this set or using it it for
my Christmas classes but my class members insisted on it.
So this is my first Christmas card for card class in September.
I wanted to stamp that cute palm tree with lights.
I added the beach house and colored them with markers.
I layered the image on Wild Wasabi square and then on a scalloped
Real Red square. I stamped the sentiment
and a shell I colored in on a white banner then layered on Real Red.
I used the Pinewood Planks emboss folder for the background,
ran some retired Real Red twine around before layering all on
the Wild Wasabi base.

Hope you have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

GDP103 Vintage Thinking Of You

I have been wanting to pull out my lovely Vintage Leaves
set and matching dies. I grabbed the Fresh Fig ink
and stamped one leaf on Very Vanilla and the other two are
stamped on Crumb Cake.  I cut them with the Leaflets framelits dies
and layered them on a piece of Wood Textures DSP.
I layered the DSP on Very Vanilla and a Fresh Fig base.
I grabbed the sentiment from Sheltering Tree set
and stamped it on vanilla and then cut
with the Stitched Shapes oval.  I layered that oval onto another
in Fresh Fig.
I added some copper thread behind the ovals but
it does not show up well in the photo.

Must play with the leaves some more later.
But for now, head over to
to play along today!
Thanks for stopping by!

FabFri120 Grateful Paisleys

I stared for a long time with this color challenge.
My first thought was about using the Pick A Pumpkin bundle
but I saw others use it so decided to look for something else.
I thought these colors would make a great background
so I pulled out my Paisleys & Posies set with this sentiment
in it.  I made my own designer paper on Whisper White
and stamped in Tranquil Tide ink the sentiment
on a piece of Peekaboo Peach.  I cut it out with
the Stitched Shapes dies.
I layered all this on a piece of Lemon Lime Twist
and a Tranquil Tide base.
I finished it off with some glitter enamel dots in three sizes.

I hope you enjoy your Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

Wood Words For You

I have been hoarding this ribbon!!! Yes, the 1/2" Night of Navy gingham ribbon!!!
I have wanted to use it but keep thinking I am saving for something!
Well, I decided to force myself to use it today!
I stamped the floral image from Wood Words on the Whisper White
piece of card stock and the ran the ribbon and made a sweet bow.
I added the rooster also from the same set
and used the matching die called Wood Crate for him.
I stamped the sentiment from the set and layering it on
a circle in Night of Navy.  I was tempting to put it all on a Night of Navy
base but then thought how cool would look with Wood Textures DSP.
I have been hoarding it too!  I think my mom will like this card!

I hope you have a fab day and thanks for stopping by!

Coffee and Diamonds II

I made this card at the same time I did the one last Monday.
I was experimenting with the embossing paste and mixing colors.
I used Always Artichoke ink again here on Crumb Cake and the same
diamond mask from the Pattern Party decorative masks.
I added some Coffee Break DSP to the side.
I cut a Stitched Shaped circle die and layered a small cup stamped in
Always Artichoke.  The lid is Early Espresso and the sentiment is in Soft Sky.
It showed real light here in the photo.
I cut all these along with the paper sleeve with the Coffee Cups framelits dies.
Fun cad especially with the embossing paste and diamond mask!

Hope you have a sweet day and thanks for stopping by!

TTTC013 Petal Garden For You

I decided on the middle row down for this week's challenge.
Pattern Paper was the lovely Petal Garden DSP.  Flower was both from
the DSP and the stamp set called Graceful Garden which I colored the
flower with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive markers.
The sentiment from the same set was stamped in Rich Razzleberry.
I cut the image out in the Stitched Shapes dies.
I then layered it with a piece of Rich Razzleberry cut with a scallop
Layering Oval.  Last layer was another Stitched Shapes in Old Olive.
Both the bottom and the top are the Petal Garden DSP.
I just had to add the scallop edge cut in Razzleberry from
the Seasonal Layers thinlits dies. The pearls on the bottom finished it off!

Hope you have a blessed holiday weekend!

FMS303 Eclectic Flower

Well, it took me a while to decide on a pattern
from this awesome Naturally Eclectic DSP.
Finally landed on the stripes which worked well for the sketch.
I add a strip of Whisper White that I stamped the background
image in Peekaboo Peach and the sentiment in Emerald Envy.
I stamped the flower in Peekaboo Peach and layered over with Emerald Envy.
I stamped the solid leaves in Lemon Lime Twist and the detailed leaves
in Emerald Envy.  All cut out with matching dies.
I added a glitter enamel dot to the center of the flower
and finished it off with a crinkled seam binding ribbon in
Berry Burst.  I layered it all on a Berry Burst base.

I hope you can play along with the sketch challenge this week over at

GDP102 Painted Soft Sky

I decided to start this sketch challenge by picking out
some designer series paper or DSP. I grabbed the Painted Autumn
DSP and this print stood out for the sketch sides.
I then pulled Soft Sky, Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green ink pads.
I thought, why not blue flowers with lime lemon centers!
I cut the Very Vanilla at 4" x 4 1/4".  I cut the strips of DSP at 3/4" x 4 1/4".
I stamped the two step flower several times with each stamp
but turning it a few times. It is only in Soft Sky and not stamped off
like I did on my pink flowers earlier this week.
I stamped the centers in Lemon Lime Twist and added
leaves stamped off once in Garden Green to keep the soft feel.
I ran some Natural Trim in gold and layered a Garden Green
1 3/4" circle behind a piece of Very Vanilla punched from
the Pretty Label punch.  I stamped the sentiment from Painted
Harvest in Garden Green.
I started to add more gold something but stopped myself.
I liked it it just like this!

PP359 Oh Holy Night!

As soon as I saw this sketch, I thought of a hill
which made me think of Mary and Joseph in
the Night of Bethlehem bundle.
I started with a piece of Sahara Sand and cut a half large circle
with circle dies.
I stamped one of the sentiments in this set in Night of Navy.
I layered the hill on a piece of Soft Sky which I stamped the city
scape and stars the same color.
I stamped the couple and the star in Night of Navy and cut
them out with the matching dies. I layered all onto a
Night of Navy card base.
It was a quick card that could be mass produced in a short time, too!
Hope you can head over and play along with the
sketch challenge at

Painted Harvest In Gray For Jen

Today is my friend Jen's birthday!
She loves gray so when I saw this card by my friend
Shannon over at
I knew I had to make my version for Jen.
I stamped the sunflowers from Painted Harvest in Powder Pink
twice with each of the two stamps.
I added the Smoky Slate as the center but the dots are in Basic Gray.
I cut the Whisper White at an angle and layered it on a piece of
Basic Gray card stock I embossed with the Petal Burst emboss folder.
I stamped the Happy Birthday in Basic Gray from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.
I finished it off with a Smoky Slate gingham bow!
Not to fancy but with these colors, I hope she loves it!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
